Wynonna Earp: Vengeance is coming this fall on Tubi. The ninety minute special is a followup to the Syfy series Wynonna Earp. The final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks will premiere October 24 on Paramount+. In season five, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing “space potholes” – subspace rifts which are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant. Pothole duty would be easy for Jr. Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford…if they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries and scariest of all: their own career aspirations. This upcoming season on Paramount+ is a celebration of this underdog crew who are dangerously close to being promoted out of the lower decks and into strange new Starfleet roles.

Season two of Silo will premiere on Apple TV+ November 15. Based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy “Wool,” the series is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.

Season three of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will premiere in 2025. Enterprise, in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the starship, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

The final season of Superman & Lois will premiere on The CW October 17. The premiere will feature two episodes back to back.

Star Trek: Section 31 will premiere on Paramount+ in early 2025. Michelle Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in Star trek: Discovery’s first season – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.

The Penguin will premiere on HBO September 19. The eight-episode DC Studios drama series continues The Batman epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman, and centers on the character played by Colin Farrell in the film.

Futurama season twelve guest stars include Danny Trejo, Renée Victor, Tom Kenny, Ana Ortiz, Cara Delevingne, Tim Gunn, Bill Nye, Kyle Maclachlan, LeVar Burton, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. The new season will premiere July 29 on hulu. And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela’s fateful, time-twisted romance.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy has added Tig Notaro, Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman and Robert Picardo to its cast. The four will reprise their roles from previous Star Trek series. Notaro and Picardo join as series regulars reprising their roles as Jett Reno and The Doctor, and Fehr and Wiseman join as guest stars reprising their roles as Admiral Vance and Sylvia Tilly.

Netflix has renewed Blood Of Zeus for a third and final season. The season will continue the story of Heron, Seraphim and the gods. In the new season they will face their most dangerous adversaries yet, Typhon, Cronus and the Titans.

Anne Rice’s Interview With The Vampire is coming soon to AMC. In season three, resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy bestseller “Interview With The Vampire,” the Vampire Lestat sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can – by starting a band and going on tour. Gabrielle. Nicholas. Magnus. Marius. Those Who Must Be Kept. My Adventures with Superman is back for an even more charming second season. Moments into the premiere, it is easy to see it is just as thrilling and funny. Now that we’ve gotten to know the characters and their place in this universe, the new season is able to raise the stakes and make us fall even more for these characters.

Clark, Lois, and Jimmy each find themselves on even more personal journeys. Searching for their past, trying to find their place in the world, and family relationships push each character this season. Sometimes it leads to compelling conflict between the friends which is greatly appreciated. They still care for each other, but they may not be communicating their personal wishes in the best way. Creatively they could just brush over some of these details, but these little moments help craft more long term stories.

Exciting and intense scenes help to build even more tension this season. It honestly feels more adult swim than Cartoon Network this time around. There is a more grown up sense portrayed, yet it retains the joy, optimism and charm that everyone fell in love with in the first season. Premiering episodes on Toonami feels like a natural placement. Many times last season, the episodes performed better in the ratings on the late night block than their original earlier timeslot.

Threats from villains, some of whom we’ve already encountered, continue to grow. More layers are given to these characters, and we see that there are bigger issues brewing than we thought behind the scenes. All of these, of course, will come to a head at a later point as they continue to build the story through the season.

Characters are compelling as ever, with lots of thought put into each moment and action everyone takes. There seems to be even more purpose and intention to actions taken by our heroes and their adversaries. I love the series’ creative sense of humor. It’s natural, realistic and feels grounded. As the season dives deeper into the lore of Superman and those around him, it leads to some emotional moments. All the while, it remains truthful to its storied history while finding ways to make it feel current.

Visually the new season is just as cheery and exciting to watch. Every moment on screen invokes a nostalgic feeling. It’s playful and a joy to watch. The voice acting remains on point, bringing so much dimension and layers to each character. The core three of Jack Quaid, Alice Lee, and Ishmel Sahid truly bring the characters to life. They feel even more fully realized with each actor having a firm grip on their identities. You can hear the pain, emotion, and glee in every well thought out moment.

This season is one not to miss. It is a true gem and is setting up for an even more exciting season. You can tell the creative forces behind the series are doing it all with their hearts on their sleeves.

My Adventures with Superman Season 2 premieres May 25 at midnight on adult swim’s Toonami block.

The story of Superman has been told hundreds of times and adapted in many different ways. My Adventures with Superman is a fun and fresh animated take on the characters of Clark, Lois and Jimmy. The adult swim series is full of hope and optimism, which has been lacking from many of the more recent DC adaptations. It is an extremely fun show and most of all, a perfect amount of funny.

There’s tons of comedy and heart at the core of the series. The two emotions blend seamlessly providing for a highly enjoyable ride. The action sequences are exciting, and engaging. The animation is smooth and visually entertaining. It may appear simple in design, but it is highly effective at building a great world. Many questions are brought up about Superman’s past and who Clark wants to be as he comes into his own identity. Some answers are provided along the way, while at the same time new questions arise, providing for even more story to tell. The amount of world building done over a short period of time is impressive. Audiences can easily follow the story having varied knowledge of Superman lore.

The characters that appear are all great takes on the iconic characters we’ve come to know. The main trio are remarkable leads and all of the villains and other side characters that pop in and out are also utilized well. Jack Quaid’s calm yet confident voice acting suits this version of Clark very well. He can be goofy at times, then right back to serious. In a slightly unusual way, Lois and Jimmy remind me of Luz and Gus from Disney Channel’s The Owl House. I know people have made comments about their appearances being similar when their designs were announced, but their characteristics are actually quite similar. Lois has the same optimism and mannerisms as Luz. Even the vocal intonations and phrasing from Alice Lee reminds me of Sarah-Nicole Robles’s work as Luz. Jimmy is awkward at times, adding to his charm, but always looking for the best in those around him and is really a great friend to Clark and Lois. It is clear that Ishmel Sahid has a lot of fun with the character of Jimmy. Scenes where the three characters interact provide for some great comedy and heartfelt moments. The series sets up tons of awkward encounters for the main characters and side characters mixed with cute and sweet moments.

Episodes flow well from one to another setting up a lot of excitement for the next episode to come. Similar in nature to Genndy Tartakovsky’s Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, the series sits in this in-between zone where it’s not what most come to expect from adult swim series, but still can be easily enjoyed by adults. At the same time, the series is easily accessible to a younger audience and could still fit into Cartoon Network. It will likely work for audiences of all ages. Repeat airings are already planned to air on Cartoon Network and adult swim’s Toonami block. At times it feels like the show could easily transition or fit into episodes of Prime Video’s Invincible or at times to Cartoon Network’s DC Super Hero Girls. The more I think about it, the series almost feels like a PG version of Invincible striking a nice balance of humor, heart and action.

It was exciting seeing an origin story showing Clark’s gradual understanding of his powers as well as his backstory and history. The title may make it seem as if we’d mostly be seeing the story from the perspective of Lois or Jimmy, but at its core is a Superman focused series. Over the seven episodes made available, I found myself completely engaged and excited for the next one to start. I am already anxiously awaiting to see where the final three episodes go. It is clear a lot of love went into the making of this series and I think fans new and old will enjoy it. The series is an absolute delight!

My Adventures with Superman premieres July 6 at midnight (technically July 7) on adult swim. Episodes stream on Max the next day.
