Season three of Foundation premieres July 11 on Apple TV+. Based on Isaac Asimov’s stories, the series stars Jared Harris and Lee Pace alongside Lou Llobell. Set 152 years after the events of season two, The Foundation has become increasingly established far beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty’s Empire has dwindled. As both of these galactic powers forge an uneasy alliance, a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the fearsome form of a warlord known as “The Mule,” whose sights are set on ruling the universe by use of physical and military force as well as mind control. It’s anyone’s guess who will win, who will lose, who will live and who will die as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons and Demerzel play a potentially deadly game of intergalactic chess. Season three introduces new characters and stars, including Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Troy Kotsur and Pilou Asbæk. The series also stars returning cast Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann and Rowena King.

The eighth and final season of Big Mouth premieres May 23 on Netflix. The beloved Bridgeton teens tackle new challenges as high schoolers such as: driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, enthusiastic consent, porn and the teenage mind, cancel culture, their changing bodies, and (in the end) fear of the looming future. Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life – whether one’s puberty is just beginning, like for Nick who gets his first growth spurt, or near its conclusion, like for a maturing (and prematurely balding) Andrew. At the height of the season, when many of our characters are in crisis, Compassion, emerges as a crucial way forward. Ultimately, though, this season is about the importance of sticking by and supporting your friends, especially when life gets overwhelming and messy. In the end, our kids step into the harrowing unknown of the future, made less afraid of what’s to come because they have each other.

Peacock has ordered Dig from Mike Schur and Amy Poehler. Schur and Poehler will co-write the pilot episode and executive produce the series, with Poehler set to star. The series marks the first collaboration between the pair since Parks and Recreation, which aired its series finale in 2015. The series is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ “Excavations.” Four women working at an archeological dig in Greece are at wildly different crossroads in their lives. When the team uncovers a long-buried secret with the potential to rewrite history, they find themselves at the center of a high-stakes international conspiracy.

Fox has canceled Rescue HI-Surf after one season. The series follows the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu – the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world. Each episode will feature these dedicated, heroic and adrenaline-seeking first-responders saving lives in the difficult and often life-threatening conditions of Hawaii’s Seven Mile Miracle.

Apple TV+ has ordered The Wanted Man. The series stars Hugh Laurie, Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan and Stephen Dillane. The series charts the rise and fall of Felix Carmichael, the elusive and powerful head of notorious British crime syndicate ‘The Capital.’ Untouchable for 20 years, Carmichael is finally apprehended, but while he’s held in the infamous Staplehurst prison, it becomes clear that he’s been betrayed by one of his own. As the traitor moves to dismantle the empire he has built, Carmichael must risk everything in a daring escape. Willing to stop at nothing to take his revenge, if he succeeds, he’ll be a wanted man once more.

Fox has renewed Animal Control and Going Dutch. Animal Control will return for a fourth season while Going Dutch will return for a second season. Animal Control follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Going Dutch centers on the arrogant, loudmouth U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who — after an epically unfiltered rant — is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least strategic army base in the world, notable for its Michelin Star-commissary, top-notch bowling alley, lavender-infused laundry and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Bravo has ordered four new series for the upcoming year. Joining the network are The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Ladies of London, The Valley: Persian Style and Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition. Bravo has also ordered season renewals of many of their beloved docuseries, including Below Deck Med (season 10), Below Deck Down Under (season 4), Married to Medicine (season 12), Southern Charm (season 11), Southern Hospitality (season 4), The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (season 15), The Real Housewives of Orange County  (season 19), The Real Housewives of Potomac (season 10) and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (season 6).

ABC has picked up a pilot for drama RJ Decker. The potential series is based on the book “Double Whammy” by Carl Hiaasen. The potential series would likely be eyed for midseason.

MTV has renewed The Challenge for season 41. The series returns this summer featuring fan favorite veterans Aneesa Ferreira, Leroy Garrett, and CT Tamburello. A full cast list and premiere date will be announced at a later date.

Sonequa Martin-Green is set to star in CBS’s upcoming new series Boston Blue. She joins Donnie Wahlberg in the Blue Bloods spinoff series which is set to premiere in the fall.

Documentary anthology series Trainwreck premieres June 10 on Netflix. The series focuses on some of the wildest and most bizarre events ever to blow up in mainstream media. Each week, tune in to a new story told from the perspective of those at the heartbeat of the chaos. Opening with the tragedy of the 2021 Astroworld Festival, the series then ranges from political scandals and media hoaxes to cult-like corporations and reality TV disasters. It delves into the stories the world could not look away from.

Contractor Mike Holmes and his kids, home renovation experts Michael Holmes, Jr. and Sherry Holmes, will return for eight new episodes of Holmes Family Rescue. The season will premiere June 4 on HGTV. The series spotlights Mike’s personal mission to “make it right” for homeowners who have fallen victim to careless or dishonest contractors. In each episode, he will team up with Michael and Sherry to rescue more desperate clients who are struggling with botched construction jobs – exposing the shoddy renovation work and then helping the families fix the problem.

Teaming up with Vice President Allen Iverson, Shaq is on a mission to revive the iconic brand and lead a bold comeback from Reebok’s Boston headquarters.

Rabil’s Places premieres June 4 on ESPN+. The 5 episode series follows Paul Rabil as he explores the rich history and traditions of college and pro lacrosse and pays respects to the game’s indigenous origins. From conversations with the biggest names in lacrosse to visiting the cultural hotbeds of the sport, Paul will showcase how lax has continued to grow and evolve into the game we love today.

Season three of Eva Lasting premieres June 4 on Netflix. After graduation, new firsts arrive for the duo: living together, starting a business, and the dreaded college life. Everything seems exciting, but Camilo must face changes, make difficult decisions, and survive the roller coaster of love, loyalty, and life’s twists and turns.

Fox has announced its upcoming programming slate for the 2023-2024 season. No schedule was announced as the network waits to see what happens with the ongoing writers strike. Fox has a slew of unscripted programming which could be implemented for the fall schedule should they not be able to film scripted series. The network announced six new series along with five series returning for season two, and thirteen additional series returning.

New series include the previously announced dramas Rescue: HI-Surf and Doc, animated comedies Krapopolis and Grimsburg, and game show Snake Oil. Also newly ordered is a music guessing game show We Are Family, hosted by Jamie Foxx with co-host Corinne Foxx.

Returning for season two are Accused, Alert: Missing Persons, Animal Control, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, and Farmer Wants a Wife.

Also returning are 9-1-1: Lone Star, Bob’s Burgers, The Cleaning Lady, Family Guy, The Great North, Hell’s Kitchen, I Can See Your Voice, LEGO Masters, The Masked Singer, Name That Tune, Next Level Chef, and The Simpsons.

Gordon Ramsay’s series Kitchen Nightmares will be returning for an all new season after years off the air.

Multi night holiday event LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular will be returning.

Additional series renewals, including the fate of comedy series Welcome To Flatch, are still to be announced.

FOX’s new dramas include:

Based on the globally acclaimed Italian series, Doc — Nelle tue mani, which was created and is produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle Company, and featured Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò of The White Lotus, FOX’s Doc is a new medical drama centered on the hard-charging, brilliant Dr. Amy Elias, Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. After a brain injury erases the last eight years of her life, Amy must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she’s treated, colleagues she’s crossed, the soulmate she divorced, the man she now loves and the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away. She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience. Doc is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment Studios. Barbie Kligman serves as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Hank Steinberg (Channel Road Productions) and Erwin Stoff (3 Arts Entertainment) are Executive Producers. Created by Francesco Arlanch and Viola Rispoli, Doc — Nelle tue mani debuted in Italy on Rai 1 in 2020, where it ranked as the network’s #1 series premiere since 2007. Since then, the series format has been sold in 12 countries with seven versions already made.

From prolific, award-winning executive producer/director John Wells (Shameless, The West Wing, ER) and executive producer/writer Matt Kester (Animal Kingdom, Outsiders), pulse-pounding Hawaii lifeguard drama Rescue: HI-Surf follows the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu – the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world. Each episode will feature these dedicated, heroic, and adrenaline-seeking first-responders saving lives in the difficult and often life-threatening conditions of Hawaii’s Seven Mile Miracle. Rescue: HI-Surf is co-produced by Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment Studios. Matt Kester created the series. Kester, John Wells and Daniele Nathanson are Executive Producers and co-Showrunners. Erin Jontow (John Wells Productions) is also an Executive Producer. Kester will write the first episode, and Wells will direct the first two episodes.

FOX’s new animated comedies include:

From Emmy Award-winning creator Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community) comes Krapopolis, an animated series like no other. Set in mythical Ancient Greece, the series centers on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. The series’ voice cast features Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders) and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel). In the series, Ayoade voices “Tyrannis,”the mortal son of a goddess. He’s the self-involved, narcissistic King of Krapopolis trying to make do in a city that lives up to its name. Waddingham plays “Deliria,” Tyrannis’ mother, goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Within her extended Olympian family – forged in patricide and infidelity – she’s known as the trashy one. Berry is “Shlub,” Tyrannis’ father, a mantitaur (half centaur [horse + human], half manticore [lion + human + scorpion]). He is oversexed and underemployed, claims to be an artist and has literally never paid for anything, in any sense of that word, for his entire life. Murphy voices “Stupendous,” Tyrannis’ half-sister, daughter of Deliria and a cyclops. Trussell plays “Hippocampus,” Tyrannis’ half-brother, offspring of Shlub and a mermaid, and, obviously, a hot mess, biologically speaking. Krapopolis is owned by FOX Entertainment and produced by Bento Box Entertainment. Dan Harmon is Creator and Executive Producer. Jordan Young is Executive Producer and Showrunner (Season One). Alex Rubens is Executive Producer and Showrunner (Seasons Two & Three).

All-new animated comedy Grimsburg stars Emmy Award winner Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Top Gun: Maverick), who also serves as an executive producer on the series. In Grimsburg, Marvin Flute (Hamm) is a brilliant detective with opinions as eccentric as his taste, who can’t help but prioritize his own personal problems — whether it be his family or petty differences among his co-workers — over the crimes he’s tasked with solving. Now that he’s back in Grimsburg, a town where everyone has a secret or three, Flute will follow every lead he’s got to redeem himself with the ex-wife he never stopped loving, even if it means hanging out with the son he never bothered to get to know. Grimsburg is owned by FOX Entertainment, and produced by Bento Box Entertainment. Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel created the series and serve as co-Executive Producers. Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, Chadd Gindin, Connie Tavel and Jon Hamm serve as Executive Producers. Chadd Gindin serves as Showrunner.

FOX’s new unscripted series include:

All-new game show Snake Oil is hosted and produced by Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated comedian David Spade (Saturday Night Live, Just Shoot Me) and executive-produced by Emmy nominee Will Arnett (LEGO Masters, Arrested Development), through his Electric Avenue Productions. In the show’s all-new original format, contestants are pitched unique products by convincing entrepreneurs – some of whom are showcasing real business ventures, while the others are “Snake Oil Salesmen,” whose products are fake. With the help of guest celebrity advisors, contestants must determine which products are real and which are a sham, for a chance to win life-changing money. In each round of Snake Oil, contestants choose a pair of entrepreneurs and learn about their extremely unique (and often bizarre) products through visuals, a custom-made infomercial exclusively produced for Snake Oil, and by quizzing the business representative themselves. cptfc With the help of their celebrity advisors, the contestants must then decide who is selling an authentic product and who is hawking a sham. Will they make the right choice or be duped by snake oil?! Snake Oil is produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment and Electric Avenue. Will Arnett, Marc Forman and Neal Konstantini serve as Executive Producers, and Konstantini serves as Showrunner. David Spade is a Producer.

We Are Family is an all-new music guessing game show hosted and executive-produced by Jamie Foxx and co-hosted by his daughter, Corinne Foxx. Showcasing non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member, We Are Family will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed. Celebrities appearing on We Are Family will range from musicians and professional athletes to actors and beyond. The series is co-produced by Apploff Entertainment and FOX Alternative Entertainment, which created the program. Jeff Apploff, Jamie Foxx and Matilda Zoltowski are Executive Producers, and Zoltowski is Showrunner.

Additionally, LEGO Masters will air its second all-new multiple-night event LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular. Over the course of four crazy hours, LEGO Masters once again will shake it up like a snow globe, with unpredictable twists and surprises. Celebrities will join, as will fan-favorite builders from past seasons, all working together, to create jaw-dropping holiday-themed challenges that will make the contestants’ faces redder than Rudolph’s nose. Make sure you’re on host Will Arnett’s “Nice List,” because LEGO Masters is making all-new plans for the ho-ho-holidays. LEGO Masters is produced by Endemol Shine North America, Tuesday’s Child and Plan B Entertainment, under license from the LEGO Group. Executive Producers include Arnett, Pip Wells; Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman from Endemol Shine North America; Karen Smith and Steph Harris from Tuesday’s Child; Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner from Plan B; and Jill Wilfert and Robert May from the LEGO Group.

Also, as previously announced, FOX heats up the summer with all-new seasons of Beat Shazam (May 23), Don’t Forget The Lyrics (May 23), Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars (May 24), MasterChef (May 24), and Crime Scene Kitchen (June 5), as well as the series launch of Stars on Mars (June 5). Additional summer programming to be announced.

FOX’s full 2023-2024 programming slate is – Dramas: 9-1-1: Lone Star, Accused, Alert: Missing Persons Unit, The Cleaning Lady, Doc and Rescue: HI-Surf; Comedies: Animal Control, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Great North, Grimsburg, Krapopolis and The Simpsons; Unscripted: Farmer Wants a Wife, Hell’s Kitchen, I Can See Your Voice, Kitchen Nightmares, LEGO Masters, LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular, The Masked Singer, Name That Tune, Next Level Chef, Snake Oil, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and We Are Family.
