The CW has picked up two seasons of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent. The 10-episode first season based on the classic series format created by legendary producer Dick Wolf and starring Aden Young and Kathleen Munroe will premiere on The CW in Fall 2025. The first season follows the Specialized Criminal Investigations Unit’s detective duo, Detective Sergeants Henry Graff and Frankie Bateman, as they investigate high-profile homicides in Canada’s largest metropolis. Their unique investigative skills are showcased through psychological tactics, with a heavy focus on the motives and actions of the criminals. These cases delve into the worlds of high finance, politics, real estate, media, and more. 

Chad Powers premieres September 30 on hulu. When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. The series starring Glen Powell is based on the sketch that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series. 

Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Ritter first played the role in Netflix’s Jessica Jones. The first season saw many stars from the Netflix Marvel series reprising their roles in the new Disney+ series. 

F1: The Academy premieres May 28 on Netflix. This adrenaline-fueled docuseries, from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, follows female drivers as they battle it out in the 2024 F1 Academy racing series. Through exclusive, behind-the-scenes access, the series highlights the drama of the races, as well as the personal stories and high stakes for these incredible drivers and the teams around them, as they break barriers in one of the most demanding sports in the world. For F1 Academy’s leader and managing director, Susie Wolff, the pressure has never felt more real. The future of women in motorsport is at stake. Legal drama series All’s Fair will premiere this fall on hulu. The series stars Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka with Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close. Vibe Check, a new female led sports focused studio show, is set to premiere on Disney+ this June. The Crunchyroll Anime Awards will take place on May 25, with the live ceremony hosted by renowned voice actress Sally Amaki and popular entertainer Jon Kabira. Acorn TV has renewed Inspector Ellis for a second season. The series will once again follow the tenacious DCI alongside her right-hand man, DS Harper, both of whom are parachuted into failing investigations across the north of England. 

The 59th Annual CMA Awards will return to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 19, airing live on ABC at 8/7c. Country Music’s Biggest Night will once again shine a spotlight on the genre’s most exceptional talent, honoring outstanding achievements, and celebrating excellence across the industry. Details on the show’s host and ticket sales will be shared in the coming weeks.

Apple TV+ has ordered animated preschool series Not a Box. The series is inspired by the beloved, children’s picture book of the same name by author and illustrator Antoinette Portis. Get creative with bright-eyed bunny Riley! With just one cardboard box, Riley imagines magical worlds – full of new friends and fantastic adventures. 

Janet Jackson will receive the prestigious Icon Award at the 2025 American Music Awards, an honor bestowed upon an artist whose music has had undeniable cultural and global influence over the music industry. This year’s ceremony will kick off summer with host Jennifer Lopez live from the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas on Memorial Day, May 26. Promising to be a night of unforgettable performances, including from Lopez herself, the 51st AMAs will air live coast to coast at 8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT on CBS. 

Vince Carter will join NBC Sports as a studio analyst when the NBA returns to NBC and debuts on Peacock this October. When Carter joins for the start of the 2025-26 NBA season, he will be in studio one or more nights per week through the playoffs, often working alongside Carmelo Anthony. 

Recognizing the deep connection the ESPN brand has established with sports fans and the significance of the moment, the new direct-to-consumer (DTC) ESPN streaming service will be named ESPN. Fans will have two ESPN DTC plans from which to choose, including an unlimited package that delivers the entire suite of ESPN networks and content. Designed to give fans more choice, flexibility and access to all of ESPN via the enhanced ESPN App, the plans will cost $29.99/month for the unlimited package and $11.99/month for a select option. There will also be bundling opportunities for the ESPN unlimited plan with Disney+ and Hulu, including a special offer at launch for $29.99/month for the first 12 months. It was previously announced that the direct-to-consumer offering will launch in early fall and that ESPN will continue to be available through traditional MVPDs and DMVPDs.

Season four of BMF premieres June 6 on Starz. Season four of Resident Alien premieres on USA Network and Syfy June 6. The new season starts with Harry and his baby Bridget stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting Alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien, but soon finds he may not have what he needs to finish the job. Asta and D’arcy struggle to keep a secret from Ben and Kate, who are both desperate to find answers to what has been happening to them. Sheriff Mike and Deputy Liv attempt to solve some mysterious deaths in Patience that Sheriff Mike is beginning to think aren’t caused by anything human. 

Jersey Shore Family Vacation premieres May 29 on MTV. This season marks the 15th anniversary since the crew’s first wild summer in Seaside Heights – and includes an epic reunion at the OG shore house! Angelina embarks on her lifelong dream of pop stardom, going into the studio to record a debut album. Deena confronts her biggest fears, also becoming the newest standout PTA member. DJ Pauly D takes a big step with girlfriend Nikki, inviting the crew to Jamaica to see where she grew up. Jenni “JWoww” steps behind the camera for her directorial debut, as her long-awaited horror film finally sets a release date. Mike “The Situation” rocks a fresh look and brings the roomies down south as their coined ‘DTF’ takes on a new meaning to see who’s Down To Farm. Nicole “Snooki” uncovers secrets about her biological family and makes moves to open her new store in Nashville, celebrating with a wild meatball weekend with Deena in Music City. Ronnie continues to work on himself but the one question still remains: will he and Sammi make true peace or will the most infamous couple in Jersey history remain at odds? Sammi “Sweetheart” embraces new beginnings with her path to motherhood and a wedding on the horizon. Vinny continues his hunt for love in the midst of taking his comedy tour on the road and training for the NYC Marathon. 

The English dub of mono premieres May 3 on Crunchyroll. Satsuki Amamiya was feeling down due to the graduation of the high school Photography Club’s president. However, her best friend and fellow member An Kiriyama encourages Satsuki to dedicate herself to the newly merged Cinephoto Club. Join Satsuki and An as they set out to track down a missing camera, meet new faces, and capture stunning photos and videos along the way.

CBC has renewed blue sky procedural Wild Cards for two seasons. The series airs on The CW in the US. The Canadian broadcaster has also renewed Saint-Pierre for season two, Allegiance for season three, Heartland for season nineteen, and Murdoch Mysteries for season nineteen. 

Rosa Salazar has exited Einstein following CBS deciding to shift the series to the 2026-2027 season. Matthew Gray Gubler remains as the remaining series regular. 

Link Click will return for a third season in 2026. A prequel series, Link Click: Bridon Arc, aired earlier this year. Using superpowers to enter their clientele’s photos one by one, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang take their work seriously at “Time Photo Studio,” a small photography shop set in the backdrop of a modern metropolis. Each job can be full of danger, but nothing is more important than fulfilling every order, no matter the scale…or peril involved!

Josh Hutcherson has joined HBO’s Rachel Sennott comedy series. He takes over the role Miles Robbins was originally cast in. The series follows a codependent friend group who reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them. 

Season two of Human Footprint premieres June 25 on PBS. Hosted by biologist and Princeton University professor Shane Campbell-Staton, Ph.D., the series’ six new episodes explore the global impact of Earth’s most ingenious, destructive, and adaptive species… humans. The 78th Annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS June 8. The show makes its return to the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City. CBS and Pluto TV will present The Tony Awards: Act One, a pre-show of live, exclusive content leading into the main show. Additional details will be available at a future date. 

CNN has announced premiere dates for its summer series. American Prince: JFK Jr. premieres August 9. Live Aid: When Rock ‘n’ Roll Took On the World premieres July 13. Billionaire Boys Club premieres July 13. 

Paramount+ announced the gag-worthy lineup of celebrity guest judges who will join host RuPaul and mainstay judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, TS Madison and recurring judge Law Roach for the tenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. The star-studded lineup of guest judges includes Ice Spice, Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Colman Domingo, Kate Beckinsale, Susanne Bartsch, Adam Shankman, Jamal Sims, Mayan Lopez, Devery Jacobs and Sarah Michelle Gellar. For the first time ever, the series will introduce a brand-new format across twelve episodes: the Tournament of All Stars. The queens will be divided into three groups of six, each competing in their own bracket across three episodes. At the end of each bracket, the top three queens with the highest point totals will advance to the semi-finals, where they’ll go head-to-head with the top queens from the other groups in another round of fierce competition over two episodes. The tournament will then culminate in an epic Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown grand finale episode, where the finalists will battle it out for a grand prize of $200,000 and a place in the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame. The season premieres May 9 with two episodes. 

The season two Vanderpump Villa Reunion premieres May 8 on hulu. After an Italian summer of high stakes, scandal, and celebration at Castello Rosato, Lisa Vanderpump reunites her staff for one final night of reckoning – only this time, she’s handing the hosting reins to her VIP guest, the one and only Stassi Schroeder. 

Season seven of FBI True premieres May 20 on Paramount+. Limited series Hell Motel premieres June 17 on Shudder. The series sees a group of 10 true crime obsessives invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved Satanic Mass Murder. History repeats itself when the guests get stranded and start getting knocked off one by one during a murder spree that grows exponentially more gruesome than the original with each kill. 

Peacock announced four new emerging artist-led series, each concept developed and executed by next-gen creators – Charlie Curtis-Beard, Katie Florence, Serena Kerrigan, and Daren Vongirdner – successful self-made social media stars with passionate followings and thriving businesses. The Warehouse Phase, The Kouncil, Older Hotter Wiser, and People Like Me will premiere May 19. 

Art Detectives premieres June 9 on Acorn TV. Art-loving DI Mick Palmer and straight-talking DC Shazia Malik together solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques, from Old Master paintings, to Banksy street art, medieval manuscripts and collectible vinyl. Each episode follows Mick and Shazia as they navigate a rich and colorful world driven by greed, obsession, lust and revenge. Throughout the season, the artfully astute detectives encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic. Docuseries Sherri Papini: Caught In the Lie premieres May 26 on ID. The docuseries will revisit Papini’s case, layering in her perspective and offering new insights with potential answers to the questions that still swirl around the case nearly a decade later. It retraces Papini’s case from the days leading up to her disappearance into her alleged abduction, her shocking return to her family, and the subsequent aftermath that led to her 2022 arrest by federal authorities. The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards airs live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX on Thursday, May 8 at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT on Prime Video. Hosted by Reba McEntire, the milestone show will open with a 12-minute ‘Songs of the Decades’ performance featuring ACM Songs of the Year from six decades performed by Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, and Sugarland. It will also feature powerhouse performances from Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn and Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, and  Megan Moroney

Mating Season, a new animated series for adults from the same wild minds of Big Mouth will premiere on Netflix in 2026. The series is set in the animal world starring a cast of bears, raccoons, deer, foxes and a host of other horny, lovable forest critters, as they navigate love, sexual relationships and the universal need to hook up and find a partner. 

Limited series The Better Sister premieres May 29 on Prime Video. Based on the book by bestselling author Alafair Burke, the  8-episode electric thriller limited series about the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together. Chloe, a high-profile media executive, lives a picturesque life with her handsome lawyer husband Adam and teenage son Ethan by her side while her estranged sister Nicky struggles to make ends meet and stay clean. The new season of BBQ Brawl premieres June 1 on Food Network. Bobby Flay is ready to defend his title against two new captains coming to town to take him down: Maneet Chauhan and Antonia Lofaso. The three culinary heavyweights will mentor teams of the country’s most respected barbeque pitmasters as they go head-to-head in a series of expert grilling challenges. Shōgun, based on the novel of the same name by James Clavell, is scheduled to begin physical production for season two in January in Vancouver. The CW Network announced it has entered into a multi-year broadcast agreement with the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Comedy series Overcompensating premieres May 15 on Prime Video. The series is a college-set ensemble comedy about the wild, chaotic journey of Benny, a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen, a high school outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. With guidance from Benny’s older sister and her campus-legend boyfriend, Benny and Carmen juggle horrible hookups, flavored vodka, and fake IDs. Dexter: Resurrection premieres July 11 on Paramount+ with Showtime with the first two episodes. It will make its on air debut July 13. Remaining episodes will premiere weekly. Continuing from Dexter: New Blood, the series takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison gone without a trace. Aoashi will return for a second season in 2026. The first season of the anime series streamed on Crunchyroll. After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group. Together they’ll bring the youth club and Aoshi’s talents to new heights!

Einstein, which was recently ordered at CBS originally for the 2025-2026 season, will now premiere during the 2026-2027 season. Brilliant but directionless, the great grandson of Albert Einstein spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases.

Match Game will return on ABC with Martin Short as host. Alec Baldwin hosted the most recent reboot which wrapped four years ago. The series is expected to premiere this summer. 

Docuseries Call Her Alex premieres June 10 on hulu. Alex Cooper is at the top of her game, signing one of the biggest deals in podcast history. A new premiere date for A&E’s Duck Dynasty: The Revival has been announced. The ten one-hour episode first season will now premiere on June 1, instead of the previously announced date of May 28. The series reunites audiences with the Robertson family as they balance life, family, and the future of their Louisiana-based business. The series will feature Willie and Korie Robertson alongside beloved family members Miss Kay, Uncle Si, and the next generation of Robertsons.

Sam Elliott will join the second season of Paramount+’s Landman as a series regular. The series is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the podcast “Boomtown”, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. 

A collection of Alfred Hitchcock films are coming to Netflix. Starting June 1, the collection features some of Hitchcock’s most iconic works including Vertigo, Rear Window, Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Family Plot, The Birds and more. The collection will also include films inspired by his lasting influence, such as Us and Barbarian, as well as a narrative feature about the filmmaker himself, Hitchcock, directed by Sacha Gervasi. And for those who can’t wait Psycho, is available now on Netflix in the US! 

Comedians Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, co-hosts of the popular “Las Culturistas” podcast, will host the fourth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, airing August 5 at 9 -11 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Televised for the first time, The Las Culturistas Culture Awards celebrates culture’s most iconic and consequential moments of the year. With more than 100 unique award categories, live musical performances and unexpected celebrity guests, this show brings culture’s most crucial moments to life. The show will be taped on July 17 in Los Angeles. A full list of categories will be announced at a later date. 

Netflix has ordered a mystery horror fantasy series titled Perfect Job. The series follows Hyuk-jun, a young man who takes on a seemingly perfect part-time job offering 50 times the usual hourly wage through a mysterious employment agency called Spyder Human Resource Center. However, the job quickly becomes a nightmare as he encounters strange and terrifying phenomena. 

The CW Network has renewed its agreement with the Pac-12 conference to broadcast nine college football games in 2025. The CW will provide full national coverage to showcase the strength of the Oregon State and Washington State football programs and their student-athletes. The season will kick off on Saturday, August 30 with Idaho at Washington State at 10:00pm ET / 7:00pm PT. 

Conan O’Brien: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor premieres May 4 on Netflix. On Sunday, March 23, the 26th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor celebrated Conan O’Brien at the Kennedy Center. April 29, ABC will push its new episodes of Will Trent and The Rookie an hour later to accommodate an ABC News special at 8. Will Trent will follow at 9, with The Rookie at 10. 

The CW has pushed the season finale of Wild Cards a week from April 30 to May 7. A new episode of Sherlock & Daughter will air after. In doing so, the season three premiere of Sullivan’s Crossing will now air May 14, followed by a new episode of Sherlock & Daughter. 

Season two of Kaulitz & Kaulitz premieres June 17 on Netflix. The Party Must Go On, even when dark clouds loom over paradise. Germany’s favorite twins are once again opening the doors to their world. CBS has ordered an FBI spinoff series titled CIA. Tom Ellis is set to star in the series which sees Ellis’ CIA officer team up with an FBI agent. They will work together on cases to stop threats. The network has aslo picked up two pilots to series. DMV is a workplace comedy which takes place in a DMV. Einstein is a drama which follows the great grandson of Albert Einstein who helps the police solve cases. 

ABC has renewed Dancing with the Stars for Season 34. Robert Irwin is the first confirmed cast member to compete in the competition. Additional celebrities will be announced at a later point. 

CBS has canceled Poppa’s House and The Summit after one season. The network is also not moving forward with its The Equalizer spinoff, its pilot Zarna, and its The Neighborhood spinoff. 

Season eight of Rick and Morty premieres May 25 on adult swim. Life has meaning again! Anything is possible! Look out for adventures with Summer, Jerry, Beth, and the other Beth. Born and raised in a close-knit Midwestern family in Detroit, Owens’ athleticism shone through from an early age. The CW has renewed Totally Funny Animals for a second season. The new season will consist of 100 episodes. The first season consisted of 30 episodes. 

Apple TV+ has ordered a seven episode comedy titled Prodigies. Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri will star in the series. This unusual take on a classic romantic comedy explores the universal complexities of long-term relationships through the lens of a very unique couple. Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe) are two ex-child prodigies who have been together since they were children. Now in their early 30s, they are starting to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood. Inevitably, they find themselves asking the same questions of their relationship. As individual hopes and needs feed into and conflict with their shared lives, the series challenges the fallacy at the heart of romantic storytelling – that the tale is over when the heroes get together. In life, surely, that is just the beginning? 

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will return for a new season on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will return as host of the game show. 

We Were Liars premieres June 18 on Prime Video. The mystery thriller is based on the novel by E. Lockhart. The series follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. The Sinclairs are American royalty – known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond – but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence’s life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide. 

Fox has ordered “social survival of the fittest” competition series, The Snake, and has tapped comedian Jim Jefferies to host the show. For this unmatched battle of plotting, scheming and strategy, The Snake assembles 15 masters of manipulation from various persuasive professions with unique skill sets to compete in an outrageous array of challenges and twists – all of which help contestants move toward becoming that week’s Snake, the most powerful position in the game and ultimate decider of who stays and who goes. It is set to premiere this summer. 

Documentary adventure series The Wild Ones premieres July 11 on Apple TV+. Fronted by former Royal Marines Commando and expedition lead Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and ecological storyteller and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet, “The Wild Ones” blends rugged field adventure with groundbreaking science and conservation. The team traverses six countries – Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada and Gabon – deploying next-generation camera technology to capture rare and often first-ever footage of elusive species, including the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale and Western lowland gorilla. 

Can You Keep a Secret? is coming soon to Paramount+. Dawn French plays domineering granny Debbie Fendon, a woman who will stop at nothing to protect her family – it’s just the person they most need protecting from is her. And when her hermit-like husband, William (Mark Heap), unexpectedly dies, she makes an outlandish decision that will put the family under more pressure than ever before. Because William isn’t actually dead – he just got mistakenly declared it and has been living in the loft while they wait for the life insurance to pay out. This comes as a bit of a shock to their easily frazzled son, Harold (Craig Roberts), whose wife, Neha (Mandip Gill), works for the local police. The 32nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place on March 1, 2026. The actors’ awards ceremony will stream live on Netflix at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). Nominations will be announced on January 7, 2026. 

Max announced new U.S. product updates with the introduction of the Extra Member Add-On feature, designed to give existing subscribers greater flexibility and control over how they manage sharing their Max accounts. This new feature also includes the capability to transfer an adult profile to the extra member account. Users will be able to stream their favorite shows, movies, and more through a seamless transition and experience.

The Devil’s Plan: Death Room returns May 6 on Netflix. The Korean mental strategy competition series will feature even more sophisticated strategies and deadlier alliances. Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires premieres July 10 on Disney Channel. The new installment follows zombie-cheerleader power couple Zed and Addison while introducing Freya Skye and Malachi Barton as the latest supernatural arrivals: Nova, a fierce Daywalker, and Victor, a proud Vampire. In the first three movies, Zed and Addison brought human and monsterkind together in their hometown of Seabrook. Daniel Radcliffe has joined the cast of NBC’s untitled Tracy Morgan comedy pilot. In the potential comedy series, a disgraced former football player is on a mission to rehabilitate his image.

NBC has ordered a new comedy pilot titled Stumble. The potential mockumentary series follows the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer. 

Emily Browning, Lukas Gage and Drake Rodger have been cast in hulu’s Prison Break pilot. The new project would exist in the same universe as the original series, but not be connected to its story. 

Limited true crime series Bad Romance returns for a second season March 25 on ABC. Ryan Smith hosts the eight-episode series that delves into the harrowing stories of individuals who lost their lives at the hands of those who once vowed to love them forever and examines the devastating consequences of obsession and manipulation, exposing the dark side of love. The series reveals surprising and disturbing romance stories every Tuesday evening, featuring interviews with individuals involved in some of the most shocking, deadly and obsessive love stories and twisted obsessions. 

Nikki Glaser is set to return as host of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes. The first major awards show of the season will air January 2026 on CBS. This year, Glaser made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo. 

Season three of Jane premieres April 18 on Apple TV+. Ava Louise Murchison stars as Jane Garcia, a 9-year-old budding environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends David, played by Mason Blomberg, and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world because, according to her idol Dr. Jane Goodall: “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”

Dance of Destiny: A Guide to Winning the Men’s Basketball Tournament will premiere March 18 on truTV. The hour-long documentary will delve into the thrilling and unpredictable men’s college basketball tournament – filled with buzzer beaters, Cinderellas and blue bloods – and how some of the best head coaches across the country are able to navigate the chaos of the survive-and-advance event, while inspiring their players through it all. The TNT Sports original special will feature interviews and insights from some of the biggest names in men’s college basketball including Naismith College Coaches of the Year Dan Hurley (2024), Bill Self (2012), and John Calipari (1996, 2008, 2015), AP Coaches of the Year Kelvin Sampson (1995, 2024) and Tom Izzo (1998), Nate Oats, Rick Pitino and Bruce Pearl – who have all led teams to the men’s college basketball national semifinals – and many others.

The CW Network will be the exclusive broadcast home of the 4th Annual Men’s HBCU All-Star Basketball Game. The elite college basketball showcase, featuring the nation’s most dynamic and talented men’s basketball players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), will air live on Sunday, April 6 (1:00-3:00pm ET) from the historic Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. The HBCU All-Star Game was created to honor the rich legacy of HBCUs and to celebrate the remarkable contributions of HBCU student-athletes and coaches in college basketball. Participating athletes will represent all four historically Black athletic conferences – the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Southwestern Athletic Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association – in addition to student-athletes from Tennessee State University, Hampton University, and North Carolina A&T State University. The HBCU All-Star Game is designed to promote educational excellence, sportsmanship, and community empowerment. 

ESPN and the NBA have announced an update to its 2024-25 NBA regular-season schedule. On Wednesday, March 19, ESPN will televise the Detroit Pistons vs. Miami Heat game at 7:30 p.m. ET. It replaces the previously scheduled New Orleans Pelicans vs. Minnesota Timberwolves matchup. The Pistons vs. Heat game will precede the 10 p.m. matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets on ESPN. Both games are also available on the ESPN App.

Docuseries The Gen Zone will premiere March 13 on BET+. Host, Jhone Lucas, takes the “Gen Zone” team around the country documenting the race to the White House providing a Gen Z perspective on the Presidential campaigns of Kamala Harris/Tim Walz and Donald Trump/JD Vance. 

Docuseries Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing premieres April 9 on Netflix. The series is derived from the popular hashtag (#SomebodysSon) that celebrates the search for Black love, bringing the online sensation to life on screen. It follows three charming, single and successful men as they embark on a high stakes search for true love, looking for a lasting partner amongst a group of exceptional single women. But there’s someone extra along for the ride — each of their mothers will be joining them on this adventure, offering guidance, support and a little drama as they help (or attempt to help) their sons find the one. Through competitive challenges, bonding activities and heartfelt moments, the moms play a pivotal and sometimes divisive role in determining if mother truly knows best when it comes to matters of the heart. Each bachelor will be introduced to four women, all with very high standards of their own. The ladies are eager to meet their potential match but will be shocked when they discover that the mothers will not only be guiding their sons through the entire experience, they’ll also be living under the same roof with their sons and the daters. And unlike many other dating shows, even after the men (and their moms) think they’ve found their perfect match doesn’t mean the deal is done. Netflix has renewed Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black for a second season. Like the first season, the second season will be released in two parts. The series follows two women leading very different lives. While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory is running a successful business, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives. 

Your Friends & Neighbors premieres April 11 on Apple TV+. After being fired in disgrace, Andrew “Coop” Cooper, a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from his neighbors’ homes in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined. The series stars Jon Hamm, Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt and Donovan Colan. 

Landman has been renewed for a second season at Paramount+. Starring Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, the series is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. 

Comedy series Overcompensating premieres May 15 on Prime Video. The college-set ensemble comedy follows the wild, chaotic journey of Benny, a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen, a high school outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. With guidance from Benny’s older sister and her campus-legend boyfriend, Benny and Carmen juggle horrible hookups, flavored vodka, and fake IDs. BET has renewed Tyler Perry’s Sistas for a ninth season, which is set to premiere July 16. The series follows a tight-knit group of accomplished and relatable women as they navigate the complexities of love, career, and friendship in the modern world. Season nine promises even more emotional depth, unexpected revelations, and the powerful narratives that have made the show a fan favorite. 

Hulu has ordered unscripted series Overboard for Love. Presented by Alex Cooper, step aboard the ultimate luxury yacht, where sexy singles are ready to mix and mingle … and find love. But there’s a twist … gaining access to the yacht’s extravagant amenities won’t be so simple. As the journey unfolds, romance ignites; alliances form; and hearts are shattered. Netflix is looking to develop The Perfect Couple into an anthology series. The first season of the originally titled limited series starred Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber. The new season would be inspired by the 2024 novel “Swan Song” by Elin Hilderbrand.

Jeff Daniels has been cast in the upcoming third season of Shrinking. He will guest star as the father of Jimmy, played by Jason Segel. 

Seth Green has been cast in the final season of The Conners. He will recur as Darlene’s friend in the ABC series.

The AVP, America’s only professional beach volleyball league, announced historic national broadcast partnerships with The CW Network and CBS Sports. The CW will broadcast dynamic professional beach volleyball matches live from iconic venues across the country on AVP Saturday Nights from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend from 8:00-10:00pm ET. CBS Television Network will broadcast the 2025 AVP League Championship in a marquee television event on Sunday, August 31 from 2:00-4:00pm ET in addition to matches airing on CBS Sports Network throughout the season. The AVP League is the only national league dedicated to the sport of beach volleyball, showcasing elite athletes – both men and women – in dynamic, city-based competitions.
