Season two of Heartstopper is set to premiere on Netflix August 3. The coming of age series follows Charlie and Nick navigating school, their personal lives and their blossoming relationship.

Season three of The Other Two will premiere on HBO Max May 4. After comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, Chase Dreams, who is now a full adult, and their talk show host mother, who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary are finally standing on their own two feet – fully “successful” in their own right! And yet, they somehow find themselves comparing themselves to new people once again??? The series stars Drew Tarver, Heléne Yorke, Molly Shannon, Ken Marino and Case Walker. Recurring cast members include Josh Segarra, Wanda Sykes and Brandon Scott Jones.

Following the cancellation of the adult swim/TBS animated series Final Space, creator Olan Rogers has been looking for a way to wrap up the series. He announced today he was given the rights to wrap up the series in the form of a graphic novel. It is currently available for preorder.

Netflix has renewed animated comedy series Big Mouth for an eighth and final season. The final season will wrap up in 2024, making it the longest running series in Netflix history, outside of Kids & Family programming. Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources will also come to a conclusion at the end of season two, which launches in the coming months. However, the characters and stories from Human Resources will flow into the final seasons of Big Mouth

Two new acquired dramas are set to premiere on The CW this summer. Supernatural crime thriller The Rising and Australian surfer drama Barons will premiere back to back on May 29. The Rising is the story of Neve Kelly, who discovers that she is dead. Understandably, she’s scared and confused by this new (non) existence, but moreover, when she realizes she has been murdered, she’s furious. Determined to find her killer and get justice, she takes advantage of her new supernatural abilities to go where the police can’t and investigate her own death. In doing so, she uncovers deeply buried secrets and is forced to re-examine everything about her life and the people she cared about. Barons is set at a time of sexual liberation, social disruption, protest and war. The eight-part series captures a unique moment of upheaval and opportunity as a new surfing counterculture collides with the realities of enterprise. Two best friends, inspired by their love for the Australian beach, create what will become rival iconic surf brands. Little do they know that their success will tear them – and their worlds – apart. When their businesses go mainstream, the young rebels and their friends find themselves pulled deep into a world of corporate politics, jealousy, homophobia and racial tension. In selling their dream to the world, they create bitter, lasting rivalries.

ALLBLK has renewed À La Carte for a second season. Season two of À La Carte will explore who Misha, Reign, and Shyra are as friends to each other without the friend that brought them all together, Mahogany. Her absence will serve as a catalyst for comedy and drama within this new friend dynamic. In our mid-20’s, relationships of convenience are fickle, and in L.A. especially, they are not easy to sustain. The mistakes they make will bring them closer in some ways and push them further apart in others. This season, the cast will continue their independent and collective journey discovering and unraveling who they are through the lens of comedy, love, sex, fire, and trial & error.

Apple TV+ has renewed The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy for a second season. Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen and Connie Britton have been cast in Netflix’s upcoming limited series Zero Day. They join Robert De Niro in the series that asks how do we find truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly being torn apart by forces outside our control? And in an era rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining?

Anthology series Truth Be Told has ended with its recent third season. Based on the novel by Kathleen Barber, the series told a different story each season starring Octavia Spencer.

Dynamic racing duo and fan-favorite wheelmen – Farmtruck and AZN, best known from Street Outlaws: OKC travel to racetracks across the US in search of the fastest local driving heroes. From Idaho to New Hampshire and Texas to Pennsylvania, top local drivers will race against each other in a bracket-style, single elimination challenge. The winner will take home a prize of $5,000 and get the chance to race against a veteran Street Outlaw driver from the ‘No Prep Kings’ series for another 5K, such as Lizzy Musi, Daddy Dave, Jermaine Boddie and Kye Kelley, among others.

Production on Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings will begin this July. The stakes are higher than ever with more souped-up cars, more drivers – and for the first time, a new fan-nominated team captain. ESPN’s latest 30 for 30 “The American Gladiators Documentary” about the reality competition series premieres May 30 and 31. From 1989 to 1996, American Gladiators was one of the most popular syndicated programs in television, a competition show that predated the reality TV era but used many of the same techniques to attract viewers. Every week, “amateur” contestants would go up against a cast of “professional” gladiators in a range of physical competitions, setting up David versus Goliath matchups that were popular with big television audiences but also earned considerable criticism for being “crash TV”. The show’s cast and crew look back on it all, with their memories complicated by regret over what it did to many of the gladiators’ lives. And as the behind-the-scenes story of the series is told, the central, most compelling character of the story is clear: Johnny Ferraro, the creator of American Gladiators, a former Elvis impersonator from Erie, PA who came to Hollywood with a dream of putting the show on screen and ended up with a singular success.
