Onyx Collective’s How To Die Alone has been canceled at hulu after one season. The series follows Mel, a broke, fat, Black JFK airport employee who’s never been in love and forgotten how to dream, until an accidental brush with death catapults her on a journey to finally take flight and start living by any means necessary.

Prime Video has ordered docuseries For the Win: NWSL. The immersive 4-part docuseries offers unprecedented access into the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) playoffs and Championship. The series will take fans behind the scenes of one of the most thrilling seasons in NWSL history, chronicling the intensity, resilience, and passion that define the league’s top teams and star players as they battle for the ultimate prize: the Championship trophy. With players like Alex Morgan and defending 2024 NWSL Champion Orlando Pride legend Marta solidifying their legacies and emerging stars like Trinity Rodman and Croix Bethune from the Washington Spirit picking up the torch, the series delves into the lives of the athletes who have become icons on and off the field. Through exclusive interviews, locker-room access, and heart-pounding match highlights, the documentary captures the nostalgia, emotion, and fierce competition that shapes a playoff run within the fastest growing league in the world.

Peacock has canceled Hysteria! after one season. Fox has set premiere dates for two returning series The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit premiere March 25. Thony’s return to the medical career she sacrificed for her son, LUCA, opens a new path to citizenship for them both. But in order to make this happen, she must continue her service to the Sin Cara cartel – not as a cleaning lady, but as the new mob doctor – bringing her ever closer to JORGE, the cartel’s brooding new leader. Returning for season three, Alert: Missing Persons Unit is a procedural drama set in the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit (MPU). Each episode features a heart-pounding, life-or-death search for a missing person, with JASON GRANT working his magic out in the field and NIKKI BATISTA heading the team. Their job is to find the missing or abducted and reunite them with their loved ones. Jason and Nikki, once married, have a very personal connection to these cases as their own son went missing and was never found.

House of Knives premieres March 18 on Food Network. Food Network welcomes a roster of top-tier chefs to the ultimate culinary arena in the epic new series House of Knives, where talented, innovative and ruthless contenders must use their cooking, strategy and survival skills to make it to the throne. Led by host Scott Conant and esteemed Culinary Council members Judy Joo and Marcus Samuelsson, the eight-episode competition names a weekly ruler based on challenges that reflect the contenders’ personal stories, food influences and cultures, while the least successful chefs are banished. There are always six players in the game, so eliminations are followed with a dramatic reveal: a brand-new legendary chef entering the arena. Netflix’s Physical: 100 returns on a grander scale as Physical: Asia. This season, the arena expands beyond individuals to a full-blown national competition. Netflix’s Last Samurai Standing will premiere this November. The series is based on the “Ikusagami” series by historical novelist Shogo Imamura, a recipient of the 166th Naoki Prize. Praised as a highly entertaining historical novel, the story is set in the late 19th century, as the age of the samurai was coming to an end. In the Meiji period, at Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto, 292 skilled warriors gathered at nightfall, lured by the promise of a huge cash prize. The rules are simple: whoever can steal the wooden tags distributed to each of them and reach Tokyo will win the prize money. Among them is Shujiro Saga, who enters the deadly game with one goal: to save his ailing wife and child.

Extracted premieres February 10 on Fox. The series features 12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Each amateur survivalist’s family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous “Extract” button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition. Extracted begs the question: how far will their loved ones let them go for a chance for their family to win $250,000? Tensions mount and strategic alliances are forged, as the opposing families negotiate and compete to send essential lifelines and resources to their competitors in the wild, to help them endure the harsh conditions they are faced with. At 3 feet and four inches tall (although Pamela insists she’s a bit taller than Jay), Jay and Pamela’s journey is a testament to resilience. Both born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 (OI), a condition that causes fragile bones, doctors once predicted they wouldn’t live past five, or even one. Yet, at 28 and 30, they’ve defied the odds, even though they’ve had over 200 bone fractures throughout their lives.
